Dulce de Leche & Chocolate Cake

This was a very popular recipe in my Instagram stories! I got tons of delicious comments and questions. I made this for Jorge’s birthday because he completeeeely loves dulce de leche. I took a very simple approach when I created this recipe, I did my cream cheese frosting + added dulce de leche and the result was AMAZING. I’m not kidding, I felt like a little kid wanting to lick the spoon (and I did!)

Ingredients:
4 oz unsalted butter (1 stick)
8 oz cream cheese (1 bar, I use low-fat)
1 - 2 cups powdered sugar (it really just depends on your taste and preference, in this case I used 1 cup)
3 - 5 tbsp dulce de leche
Directions:
Use a stand alone mixer with the paddle on and cream butter until very soft.
Add cream cheese and keep mixing until mixture is incorporated and soft.
Add powdered sugar and mix again.
Add dulce de leche to taste, keep aside.
Layer cake in 3 and add dulce de leche in between each layer. Use the rest to decorate.
